Neighbour has cut down a tree that is on our land. He says it is because the roots are causing damage to his driveway (most roots are on our land and we have no damage). The tree was providing privacy to upstairs of our house and shade to our garden. Is this illegal? Can we make him replace tree (mature tree) or pay for alternative means of privacy/shade?

I would like more access to my son. I signed a court order when my son was 5 months old limiting my access to 3 hours every other week. Now my son is older (4 years) I would like to see him for longer periods and overnight stays. Ive been told by my friend that getting this through court can take over a year, but is there anything I can do to speed it up? Ive made all my maintenance payments and have provided extra things for my son when I have been able to .Im not on great terms with my sons mother, so it is unlikely she would allow me to see my son for more that what is currently agreed without me going through a court process. Any advice appreciated.
