Ok, I will try and make this brief
2 years ago I was seconded to work in another department, as they required someone with extensive IT knowledge to assist in the IT section, I worked on secondment in this daprtment for about 6 months, and they were very pleased with my work and knowledge base. I was approached after 6 months about an upcoming vacancy within this department. I applied and initially accepted the job offer with an increment of £3500 in salary. I then has second thoughts about the time expected away from home in the new job role and the expected hours they would expect me to work per week (about 60) so 24 hours later I turned the job down.
The job was not offered to anyone else whom had sat the interview, nor was it re-advertised, and they kept me working for them on secondment.
about 2 mothes later I found out that my old deprtment had been placed into consultation to allow a job name and function change and an increment on one extra body. I then enquired as to why I had not been placed into consultation, only to be told that I now work for the department I was sconded too, which confirmed my fears that I am now doing the job I turned down which was and is 60 hours a week with days/weeks away from my home.
I have repeatedly asked for the money that I was offered at the time of the job offer i turned down but endedup doing, only to be told "there is nothing on the table".
My contract was transfred with the same T&c's but with a new reporting manager, My T&C's in no way relect the work I am now doing and I have since found out that the Guy i am working alongside is on over 10k more than me, yet I bring more to the table.
So in a nutshell
I am now doing the job I turned down, but without the salary.
One more point, I overheard my new boss talking to an employee one level below myself "where he stated that I was a "miserable b*st*rd, who only thought about money, and in his opinion I was offered the job and turned it down so I missed my opportunity to earn the money I am asking for hahahaha".
What do I do?
