They want their money back!?

Postby erniemadden » Fri Sep 25, 2009 12:05 pm

I invested in a project that fell flat on it face and had to try and get my money back for the insolvency company.
Anyway I recieved 75% of my money back.
Two of us were awarded from the sale of one property while another creditor had possession of the persons other property and was looking to get their money from the sale of this property.
The property was sold for a lot less than thought and only covered the mortgege and so the creditor was left with nothing.
Before the property was sold the insolvency company ask all creditors to make it known if they were happy with what they had been awarded and would then close the matter.
This was done, but then the creditor in possesion of the house claimed they never recieved this notice and they were still owed.
The insolvency company reviewed the claim and stated that in some cases they could retrospectively review a claim and pay out where they thought fair.
Now all payments were settled including a large sum to the inland revenue. So there was no money left.
The insolvency company have now written to us asking for some money back.

Do I have to pay it back even though I did not get all my money back?

Cheers...Steve
