To whom this may concern,
I am writing into you for some advice on behalf of my uncle, my grandmother and grandfather had bought there house some years ago now, and after a few years my grandmother took ill, she has got senile dementia and is currently in a old folks home, then my grandfather took ill, he took a heart attack a few weeks ago and was in hospital till last week when he suddenly passed on, my grandfather was 92 years old and worked all his days plus was in the army and fought for this country , my uncle, ( my grandmother and grandfathers son ) has stayed with them all his days, he has been paying the mortgage for them, and when my grandad was in hospital my uncle was told that if my grandfather dies before my grandmother then the house will get took off him to pay for my grandmother being in the home, i find this totally diabolical, my grandparents have both worked all there days, always paid every bill, have always been law abiding citizens, i just don't understand that they can take the house when my uncle is still going to be staying there , basically what is happening is my uncle has lost his father, his mother is still in the old folks home, then the government is going to take the house off him to pay for his mothers in the old folks home, this is terrible basically losing his father is not enough there wanting to destroy him totally and leave him with absoulatley nothing at all, the full family have always abided by the law and done everything this country has asked of them and the country do this, its totally appauling, the only thing my grandfather was worried about on his death bed was his son becoming homeless, my grandfather actually died in alot of pain not only physical pain but mentally because of this, my grandfather couldnt even die in peice and i find this totally absured, if this was an animal that was getting treated like this then there would of been something done about it, my uncle is going to become homeless all because his father died first , this put a lot of pressure on my grandfather when he was still alive, he thought he had let his family down when he has not let anyone down, its the government that has let him down , he has fought for this country and was in the second world war, and all the government can think of is taking his house off him to pay for his wife,s keeping in the old folk,s home, the government are letting him down and this whole family and not to forget all the other people in Scotland that it has or is going to happen to, his only dying wish is that his son can keep the house, that he pays for, and has been brought up in, i would just like to thank you for taking time to read this, if there is anything at all you can do or help us with in any way would be greatly appreciated thanks for your time Mr b Higgins.
